Tempo is not how fast you swing it, it is how you swing it fast. Tempo will affect how you load and unload the shaft and is a big factor in which shaft will best suit you. A player with a quicker backswing and more aggressive transition will have a faster tempo, while a player with a slower backswing and smoother transition will have a more deliberate tempo.

Trajectory is the flight of the ball and the peak height that the ball reaches. A player who struggles with getting the ball in the air should look towards a higher trajectory shaft, while a player who struggles hitting the ball too high should look for a lower trajectory shaft.

Contrary to popular belief, when it comes to carbon fiber, stiffness and strength are not the same. Often a stiff material is very brittle, and a strong material is not very stiff. High MOI/Rear Sole Weighting

More weight in the rear sole, created by the weight in the extreme back of the clubhead, moves the Center of Gravity deep in the head for an extremely high MOI that will tighten dispersion and increase overall accuracy. The low and rear CG positioning creates increased launch angles, apex heights, hang time and overall distance.

Acoustic Resonance Channels – Upgraded acoustic engineering is achieved though Acoustic Resonance Channels (A.R.C.) Engineering. One of the most popular shaft lines on Tour in past years, is available in a lighter and slightly softer version to better compliment the swings of the everyday golfer. It is a lightweight, high-modulus graphite shaft with a mid/high bend point for improved feel and better response, yet has lower torque ratings than the original EI-70 to better accommodate today s larger clubhead sizes. The lower torque also helps improve accuracy.

Acer XV Fairway Wood Clubhead

The Acer XV fairways woods feature cup-face construction or where part of the faceplate wraps around and becomes incorporated into the sole, crown and skirt area of the head. This pushes the weld back away from the actual face so the areas around the perimeter could be made thinner creating more face deflection for higher ball speeds to areas other than the center of the face. Even when you miss-hit the ball, the XV with cup-face technology provides you that extra spring-like effect for longer shots. These also feature the same Power Chamber as the matching driver. In addition, these low profile heads coupled with the Gravity Port moved toward the face promotes a higher launch with lower spin.
