The Extreme Game Improvement Hot Launch E522 Driver is all about ease of use. The 460-cc driver made from premium 6-4 Titanium features extreme Moment of Inertia properties with a major emphasis on ease of launch, playability and correcting miss-hits and slices to go straighter.

Houdini Sole Technology

The Houdini Sole design innovation pushes weight back as much as possible in a driver design. This design created extra mass to precisely position weight in the head for an ultra-low and deep Center of Gravity, optimizing launch conditions and greatly improving forgiveness off the face.

High Moment of Inertia

An extremely high MOI rating surpassing 5000 grams per cubic cm2, makes the E522 Driver an extremely stable and powerful driver. This increased MOI will improve ball speed on miss-hits and will keep shots straighter, while the back and low CG positioning creates high-flying, powerful tee shots.

Diamond Face 2.0/ Cup Face Technology

The Hot Launch E522 Driver features Diamond Face 2.0 technology with 42 different thick and thin diamond shapes behind the face of the metals for an enhanced sweet spot. Different variables of thick and thin diamond shapes or “mini-trampolines” behind the face combine with a Cup Face construction to produce greater face flex, faster ball speeds and better performance on off-center hits.

Heel Weighted/Slice Fighting Offset/Shallow Face Designs

Offset designs are combined with a heel sole weight to provide the ultimate in slice fighting technology.
The strategically placed heel draw-bias weight allows the face to square up at impact for straighter ball flight that helps golfers avoid the right side of the course. A super-shallow face design produces higher launch angles and extreme ease of launch.

Control Length Shafts

A Control Length Shaft system means optimized, shorter shaft lengths that were designed specifically for the E522 Driver to greatly improve accuracy, control and to offer maxed out Smash Factor ratings for the club head. The Control Length Shaft leads to more players hitting the center of the clubface.

Specifications

The E522 Driver comes stock with super-light FUBUKI HL graphite shafts by Mitsubishi Chemical that range from 45-grams to 55-grams depending on the flex. The extremely light FUBUKI shafts come with lower kick points and lower cycles per minute frequencies that promise to help players achieve maximum velocity and to fight a fade; producing a longer, straighter and a slightly drawn ball flight.

High MOI Rear Sole Weight in a Deep CG Casing

A back weight is strategically placed to the extreme rear of the C522 Driver. The extreme rear weight is housed in an all-new Deep CG Casing that places more mass at the extreme trailing edge of the clubhead. The back weight and Deep CG Casing creates an extremely high MOI rating for a driver, surpassing 5000 grams per cubic cm2 that creates top in-line stability. The lower and deeper CG positioning of the club dramatically affects ease of launch and added forgiveness off the face at impact. Acoustic Resonance Channels – Upgraded acoustic engineering is achieved though Acoustic Resonance Channels (A.R.C.) Engineering. The A.R.C. sound channel system is a visible technology that can be seen on the sole of the clubhead. Internally, these channels bounce sound on the inside of the club head to provide top-shelf sound and feel.

Power Channel

The Power Channel on the sole of the club behind the club face is deeper for better weight distribution and increased face flexing in the C522 range. The Power Channel delivers amplified ball speed and less spin, as well as added forgiveness on shots struck lower on the face.

This ultra-premium driver is designed to have a perfected CG (Center of Gravity) location and extreme M.O.I. (Moment of Inertia) properties with the intent on making this Tour Edge’s most advanced driver ever produced. This is being led by innovation breakthroughs by Tour Edge, most notably the new Diamond Face 2.0 and the Ridgeback support system that provides the ultimate in power and feel.

Ridgeback Technology

Ridgeback Tech is a power producer. The Ridgeback spine within the Carbon Fiber crown acts as a brace to produce more power on center hit and allows for greater face flex in the heel and toe, meaning off-center hits achieve greater power and ball speed. The extra rigidity created by the brace produces a much stronger feel at impact and results in a crisper and brighter feel at strike.

Dual Carbon Wings

Tour Edge engineers designed Ridgeback to replace extra Titanium from the crown and sole with wrap-around Carbon Wings, which saves considerable weight and leads to an optimal low-rearward CG position that produces an extremely high M.O.I. to increase stability at impact. The C721 Driver employs 19% more Carbon Fiber than any previous Exotics driver and the CG was lowered by 13% to improve launch characteristics.

Diamond Face 2.0 Technology

There are 43 total diamond shapes featured on Diamond Face 2.0, comprising seven different thicknesses in an interweaving pattern. This compares to the three different thicknesses used on the initial Diamond Face design. Face thickness of Diamond Face 2.0 at the extreme perimeters of the face is also reduced by 20%. The mini trampolines that make-up Diamond Face 2.0 create faster ball speeds and an expanded sweet spot. The increase in Diamond Face 2.0 coverage to the extreme heel and toe and of the driver dramatically increases ball speed and forgiveness on off-center hits.

Adjustable Rear Backweight

A 10-gram adjustable back weight is at the extreme rear of the clubhead to help position the perfected CG and to optimize the M.O.I. properties of the C721 clubhead.

Sound Diffusion Panels

Five different Sound Diffusion Panels were placed strategically inside the club head vastly improving the acoustic properties of the clubhead.

An adjustable hosel allows adjusting the loft +/- 2 degrees and lie angle through a range of 3 degrees.
